Aliana Lohan was born in December, 1993 on Long Island, New York. She is known as “Ali” and lists December 22 as her birthday on her Facebook page, but some sources have December 21 as her birth date. The blue-eyed, dark haired Aliana admires her famous big sister – model, singer and actress, Lindsay Lohan. Ali has consistently stated that she wants to follow in Lindsay’s career footsteps and she has done some professional modeling, singing and acting.
Like Lindsay, Ali was a Ford model as a toddler. She did many print ads such as those for Calvin Klein Kids with sister, Lindsay and brother, Michael. Ali has also done some runway modeling work and has appeared in Teen Vogue. Ali had small roles in Lindsay’s movies such as The Parent Trap, Get a Clue and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. In the 2000 made for TV movie, Life Size, Ali and her brother, Michael, are viewers in the stands at the football game. In the 2003 remake of Disney’s Freaky Friday, Ali and her younger brother, Dakota (Cody), are in the wedding party while their mother, Donata (Dina), is dancing at the reception.
Ali played Lindsay at a younger age in Lindsay’s music video, Confessions of a Broken Heart. Her first recorded song, Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree, appears on the October, 2005 Totally Awesome Christmas CD that features singers such as Aly and A.J. and Hilary Duff. In November, 2006 Ali’s own Christmas album, Lohan Holiday, was released. The album contains Christmas classics such as Silent Night and Jingle Bells, but also includes original songs such as Christmas Day and Christmas Magic. One song on Lohan Holiday is Santa’s Reindeer Ride that Amy Grant performed earlier in her career. Aliana Lohan’s voice was digitally added to Grant’s song.
In the reality show, Living Lohan, that Ali stars in with mom, Dina, the family temporarily moves to Las Vegas so that Ali can record an album at The Studio at The Palms. The album is likely to be released by late 2008. Living Lohan debuted on E! at the end of May, 2008. It was originally going to be called “Momager” since Dina Lohan is both mother and manager to Ali. The regular location for Living Lohan is the Lohan’s Merrick, Long Island, New York home. Aliana’s grandmother and two brothers appear in some episodes of Living Lohan but the show focuses mainly on Ali’s career goals and Dina’s help in accomplishing those goals.
When not modeling, singing or acting, Ali loves playing soccer, swimming, shopping and spending time with her friends like many other teenage girls. She says that she just knows what she wants do to with her life at a very young age. In an interview for the April 2008 issue of Teen Vogue, 14 year old Aliana notes that she “grew up watching Lindsay and it made me want to do what she does.” In case there could be any doubt, Ali adds: “I want it so bad – so bad you don’t even know.” |
